Learning & Our Curriculum
At Coupals Primary Academy our vision is to deliver a curriculum which provides our pupils with all of the essential skills they require to be successful in the future workforce in modern Britain. Through our curriculum and assemblies we develop pupils’ Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural education and promote British Values of Democracy, the Rule of Law, Individual liberty and Mutual Respect for and Tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs and for those without a faith.
Our vision is that learning at our academy is challenging, led by the pupils, collaborative and supported by teachers who are all committed to becoming outstanding teachers making use of innovative pedagogies.
As a result of our curriculum our pupils will be:
- Ready and enthusiastic to learn.
- Ready to self-evaluate and reflect on their own learning.
- Ready to apply a broad range of knowledge and skills to real-life experiences.
- Ready to honestly encourage each other’s learning.
- Ready to share their own opinions and beliefs.
- Ready to respectfully challenge the ideas, opinions and beliefs of others.
- Honest about changing their ideas following discussions and evaluations.
- Determined and inquisitive with the desire to take risks in their learning.
- Determined to understand their learning, progress and potential.
